Ask and you shall receive
I was recently listening to a homily & something from the message struck me for our groups that we talk about all the time.
In Luke 11:9-13, Jesus says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” This passage encourages persistent prayer and trust in God’s goodness, assuring believers that God will answer their requests, fulfill their search for truth, and open doors of opportunity.
This mindset/philosophy applies to your business & works really well within how our groups operate
1- I encourage you to apply this philosophy in all of your presentations, face-to- face meetings, conversations pre/post meeting, & 60 second outros within The Referrals Group. We have countless stories of someone being specific, asking for it, and another member delivers for them.
-If you want to meet someone ask…tell us
-If you are trying to get into a company, industry, market….tell us. Even better bring us a list.
2- Caution: Don’t be vague. Asking isn’t….
-“Hey can y’all like send me some business you know”
Drill deeper. Tell us:
-who you want to meet (give us names &/or companies)
-why you need to meet them
-never hurts to include an example of how to take a shot for an introduction either
Take shots for each other:
Ex: “I know a really good (insert profession). They are (name, company). Is there value you in you meeting them? If so let me know and I’ll connect you two over text/email.
Final thoughts. Be specific. Don’t be vague. If you need help working on/structuring your “asks” please reach out to us. We are more than happy to help because this matters in creating success stories.
+The answer is always “No” if you don’t ask
