Size Does Matter
Whether your chapter has 8 members or 20+, one thing is true: size makes a difference!
- At 10 members or less, you have a tight knit group looking out for each other. But growth means more industries represented, more doors opening, and more opportunities flowing.
- Between 10 – 15 members, you’re building momentum. Every additional seat filled multiplies your reach, your network, and your referrals.
- At 15 – 20 members, the energy is electric. The room is full, conversations are more diverse, and the results multiply for everyone.
Every new member brings with them their entire network. That’s sometimes hundreds of new connections, sometimes just a call/text away.
Why Growth Matters for Every Chapter
- Small groups grow stronger and more sustainable (and leave the vulnerable danger zone!)
- Medium groups become more well connected and start to see referral numbers multiply
- Larger groups expand their influence and can create even more referral opportunities
If you aren’t actively growing your chapter, you are actively shrinking it. Groups will inevitably lose 15-25% of their membership each year due to several reasons (career changes, relocations, retirements, etc.) that you have no control over. Control what you can by making sure your group stays in a strong enough position to account for these group changes.
Growth isn’t just about numbers – it’s about multiplying the impact for every single person in the group. And let’s be honest… no one brags about being in a small Referrals Group!
